The Emperor asked Prince Cheng and Lu Dingwen to obtain the Divine Book of the Supreme Counselor in the underground tomb of the previous Emperor. Prince Cheng decided to rebel and wanted to keep the book to himself.

She met Shui Ruohan one day and helped him as he was bullied. She had him come to her house to be a reading partner. Ruohan couldn't help but be taken by Jianping's happy, carefree and sweet personality. Jing Tian is a mischievous pawnshop assistant who because of the power of a mystical jade, crosses paths with the spoiled and sassy Tang Xuejian, the beloved granddaughter of Tang Manor's Tang Kun, who meets with danger when an evil cult tries to take over control of the Tang Manor. Together with Xue Jian, the group set off to accomplish their mission. On the way, they overcome various obstacles and must solve mysteries pertaining to their pasts.

Li Gexiao was asked by a former colleague to help him bring back gold that was stolen. He teamed up with three other people, Chai Hu (muscle fighter), Yan Sannian (thief and lock picker) and He Xiaomei (performer and has the abilities to change into anyone he wanted to look like) to accomplish the task.

Soon, it is revealed that his former colleague treated Li Gexiao as his rival and tricked him into stealing the gold from the good people, and therefore framing the team and making them wanted criminals. After the four worked together and did good things for the country, they realised how good it felt to help the people, so they formed a team called Yi Zhi Mei, which means a branch of plum blossom, and their purpose and mission was to punish the treacherous evildoers, suppress the strong and aid the weak and get rid of bullies and bring peace to good people.

Ding Yao's father is an archeologist searching for the lost ancient city of Nan Yue, but when he finally finds the ruins he's been dreaming of, he also finds a power he could not imagine. Situ Jing, a mischievous free-thinking lady, and her companion, A Ling, go on a series of adventures. She does not know that she is a princess of the former royal family. He befriends Xiao Long Xia after he realizes that the money she has conned and stolen from others is being spent on the refugees. When Xiao Long Xia solves the puzzle, he decides to maintain closer ties with her.

The prince of Yunnan resents the emperor since his sister, the previous queen, had been killed with her family. He sends his son, Bai Yun Fei, to cause unrest and to marry Princess An Ning. An unlikely friendship develops between the Emperor, Xiao Longxia and Bai Yu Fei, each pretending to the others to be someone else. Palace and court intrigues, rebellion and assasination plots abound.

Xiao Yan Zi met Xia Zi Wei, a poor girl who marched a long way to find her father, the Emperor, but nobody would take her seriously. Xiao Yan Zi decided to sneak into the mountain where the Emperor hunts, but Zi Wei could not handle the tiring mountain climb, therefore asking Xiao Yan Zi to tell the Emperor her story. Here starts a long and painful story of getting everyone to their proper roles, but many dangers lies near – the death sentence if anyone lies to the emperor, and an evil Empress who is waiting to catch Xiao Yan Zi in the act. Added on top, Xiao Yan Zi’s lack of proper manners and knowledge of books has driven her closer to jeopardy.
