Digimon Unite: Walking Beyond Choices

Come in here if you are an author or wanting to read some good Digimon fanfiction.

Following Digimon Frontier

Disclaimer: I do not own Digimon or any of original characters.  Please make sure you’ve watched and know Digimon Frontier before reading this.

Story: The digital world has been in peace since the Frontier digidestined left, but could the recurring dreams that a little kid with dark powers could destroy it again? What happens when dreams bring a world that is so terrifying, that cannot turn back? What destructions could this being with dark powers bring to Earth and the Digital World? And could it be possible to team up with some old friends?

Forgotten Emptiness

As the fog cleared, a spec of light shone down, yet there was still darkness. A young boy looked no more than six or seven appeared out of nowhere. His eyes looked dark. Very dark. Evil. Destructive.

“I’ll make sure you’re out of my way for good.” He snickered.

Kouichi could hear the bitterness behind that voice. He hid behind where he always did, and watched the boy make another person disappear.

The shock woke up Kouichi again. 12:00am.

Every night, it has been that dream. Why? Could it be a message or am I losing his mind? Kouichi thought. I tried to push the thought out of his mind, but it wasn’t that easy. He got out of bed to search for a glass of water. Perhaps if he told someone, maybe they could help him?

And what? Send me to the Psychiatric Ward? Kouichi thought to himself.

Kouichi suddenly remembered that his brother was visiting tomorrow. Great, if I don’t get enough sleep I’m going to look like half dead zombie and everyone would be wondering what’s wrong with me. Kouichi once again lay down and forced his eyes shut.

Strangely, the dream only occurred once each night.

And today’s weather is just fine, perhaps… The sound woke Kouichi up. It was his radio alarm. He slowly reached out and attempted to throw it at the wall, but realised it was already 8am.

Kouichi quickly got dressed and ran downstairs. Everything was still.

Where is everybody? Kouichi thought. Could it be a joke? Nobody was home. It wasn’t exactly the Sunday morning you’d expect, since normally everyone is eating breakfast at this time. They’ve probably all went down the shops to buy milk or something. Kouichi sat down to read the papers.

12th of December, 2026??? This couldn’t be right. It was a mistake. How could it be 2026? It’s only 2005. Kouichi stared in disbelief. Had he really gone mad or is this April Fools joke?

Should he walk outside to see what’s going on?

Kouichi attempted to unlock the door, but it wouldn’t budge. Great, now I’m stuck in the house too?

From the corner of his eyes, a window was open! Kouichi immediately ran towards the window and climbed out. The surprise he saw was nowhere compared to his dreams.

Nobody.

What the heck is going on?? Nobody on the streets, no cars or anybody?

Kouichi thought he must have been dreaming. However, this time, it felt too real to be a dream.

Perhaps this is just bad timing? Maybe it’s a day of rest! Kouichi tried to defy the idea of people all disappeared form Earth. Kouichi ran faster than he had ever done in his life to Kouichi’s house. Strangely, not even the house was there. It was a large, bare plain.

“KOJI?? MOM?? ARE YOU THERE? PLEASE ANSWER ME!!!” Kouichi yelled.
He heard nobody. Nothing. It was as if the world vanished, and he was the only person left. But even if he was there, he wasn’t real.

Kouichi walked a little further and recognized the area that used to be his school. It looked like the whole building was burned down years ago. He knew it was useless to try and look for anybody. I need to know if my friends and family are okay. Kouichi thought.

“It’s too late now, you’re never going to see your friends again!”

That voice! It sounded like…the boy in my dreams! Kouichi thought. Could this really be the end of everything?

“Oh, no, it’s merely the beginning…” whispered the voice again.

“Leave me alone!” Kouichi shouted. “Leave my friends and family alone!”

The voice could not stop haunting Kouichi, he walked faster and faster, attempting to get away from it. He knew inside that the more he ran, the more likely it will follow and haunt him.

“I need to find a way, I know this is the future and it hasn’t happened yet!” Kouichi cried. “Just give me a chance to fix it!!”

Kouichi felt himself falling down. His vision blurred, and soon he couldn’t see anything. His mind went blank, and before he knew it, he was on the ground.

Am I returned back to the present? Kouichi thought, feeling extremely weak.

“But not how you expect!” The voice said in a mocking tone.

Kouichi tried to ignore the voice. He really was back, but something was different. He felt light, almost too light, just as Kouichi was about to run downstairs, he realised he was flying.

“What is going on??” Kouichi thought in disbelief.  He heard sounds coming from outside. It sounded like many people were talking at once.

Kouichi rushed past, without realizing he had just walked through the table.

“Oh god, not again. Don’t tell me I’m a spirit again!” Kouichi tried to fight the fear growing inside him.

Everybody was outside, Kouichi could see his brother’s face in pain. Kouichi saw his mom crying, as they lifted his body in the Ambulance.

“I’m sorry Ma’am, we are not sure what happened to your son. There is no sign of any illness, we have to take him into hospital for intensive care.”

Kouichi watched as his mother stepped onto the van with Koji.

“Mom, maybe you should stay here, I can go to the hospital.” Koji said, trying to comfort his mother.
“I have to go, I can’t just leave him!”

“Koji! Mom! I’m here!” Kouichi cried.

“They can’t hear you now! Nobody can. You’re alone in this world and nobody can do anything. Soon I’m going to have fun with your body!”

It was that voice again.

“What are you going to do with my body??”

“You’ll see!”

Kouichi feared what this voice could do to his body. How did this happen?

***

“Buddy, are you feeling alright? You’re not looking so good. I came as soon as I could!” Takuya put his hand on Koji’s shoulders.

They sat in the waiting room at the Hospital.

“It’s absolutely weird, one minute I’m dreaming about failing my homework, and the next thing everything around me just suddenly changes. I see this kid, and he looks at people with dark eyes and the creepiest thing is his skin is all burnt. It almost always scared me, and at the same time I feel like someone else is with me, except I don’t know who. I just feel another presence and I’m quite sure I know this person.”

“That’s just crazy! Tell me more!” Takuya exclaimed.

“Well, I was dreaming you can say it. But I swear I had gone to some weird place that I’ve never dreamed about. It was colorless, and…”

“Well, dreams are usually colorless.. aren’t they?” Takuya asked.

“Stop interrupting! Now I’ve forgotten what I was talking about…” Koji remarked. “Anyways, I wasn’t exactly in it, more like I could see it from someone else’s eyes. You know how things happen to one person and the other can sort of see it? It wasn’t too real.”

“Uh-huh. So in the midst of your dreams, exactly what makes you think that you are sharing it?”

“The fact that feels like it. I don’t know, you’ve got to be in it to know what I mean. Anyways, I was watching these random streets and somehow I just collapsed. I don’t know how or why, the next thing I woke up and I had this phone call.”

“And you’re here.” Takuya said.

“Yes.”

“That doesn’t say much though, and it could be that you’re thinking about it. Maybe Kouichi had a stroke in the middle of the night?” Takuya suggested.

“C’mon, a stroke?? Be realistic here! We face Digimon and stuff like that, you really think my brother had a stroke?” Koji raised his eyebrow.

“Maybe not..”

“Well, I do know There is this boy, he’s young alright. Perhaps around Tommy’s age when we first went to the digital world. He looks like a sweet kid but he makes people disappear. He also has a lot of powers that humans don’t have. He has a very creepy voice and always tries to convince me I have no friends.”

“He seems to know you though, but then what evil Digimon doesn’t!” Takuya answered. “Maybe he was trying to get to you. But still I don’t understand what that has got to do with Kouichi. Man this is confusing.”

“Tell me about it!”

“Maybe he has something to do with Kouichi’s sudden passing out.” Koji exclaimed. “He always seem to know something bad is going to happen, and he was powerful, in my dreams. I know that, but I have a feeling he’s getting to Kouichi as well. I am almost definite that he did this to Kouichi.”

“We could kick his butt if we had our spirits, but right now we’d be walking into a trap!” Takuya warned. He rose up a little to walk around, picturing the worst that could happen.

“Wanna get out of here? The smell of the hospital is really getting to me!” Koji wrapped his hands on his nose. “I absolutely hate that smell!”

“Right…”

They both climbed the stairs and got to the door before being called in the speakers.

“Koji Minamoto? If you are still in this building, please go back to floor 3, room 3.1”

Koji and Takuya exchanged looks. What could that be? Something new about Kouichi? Maybe they found out what’s wrong! Koji thought.

They rushed upstairs to see what the doctor had to say.

“Takuya, wait here and I’ll be back later.”

“Koji, and Mrs Kimura, I believe you two are in relations to Kouichi?” The doctor asked. “I don’t know how else to put it, but Kouichi’s body is dying. There is no sign of life besides his pulse. What was he doing that day? Or even that night? Did he leave any thing?”

Koji shook his head.  Suddenly, Mrs Kimura spoke. “Lately, Kouichi seem to have dreams that seem real. He wasn’t direct with me but one morning he just looked totally out of it, and I forced some words out of him. He said that some boy was after him and it was the same dream.”

“Unfortunately we have never heard of anyone affected by a dream before.” The doctor replied.

“Maybe he left a diary or something?” Koji asked. “Did you check his room?”

“No I actually haven’t, but you’re right. We should!” Mrs Kimura said with nervousness in her voice. “Thank you doctor for what you are doing. Please look after my son. I have to find something, and will b e back very soon!”

Koji and Mrs Kimura thanked the doctor and rushed outside.

“Koji, what’s going on?” Takuya stared blankly at those two rushing out the door.

“I’ll explain tomorrow. See you!” Koji yelled from outside.

***

Koji stepped up to Kouichi’s room, turning the lights on. It looked quite messy and things were everywhere. This is going to be hard. Koji thought.

He saw a few pieces of papers here and there, but no sign of a diary or anything.

“Kouichi is quite secretive. I don’t think he’d just leave it lying here.” Mrs Kimura said.

“Maybe his PC. Maybe he keeps it online?” Koji suggested. “I can check!”

Koji turned on the computer and waited for it to load. There were more and more questions piling up. What could it mean that Kouichi also had these dreams? From what he heard, it sounded exactly like his. Why did they have the same dream?

“It’s loaded, but how do we find anything?” Mrs Kimura asked. “I’m not too good on the computer.”

“Let me try!”

Koji fiddled and searched, and looked everywhere. Nothing.

“This isn’t working and if time runs out, and he really dies, then there’s nothing we could do!” Koji exclaimed. “Please try to remember, has he ever mentioned anything else to you?”

Mrs Kimura stopped to think. Her thoughts were very much mixed too. She found it difficult to even concentrate for a second to think what Kouichi had told her some days ago, when he’s lying there dying.

“I really can’t think of…”

“Please, mom. Try! This may save him.”

“I remember something. The morning you were suppose to come, I was going to wake him up, and as I was about to knock on the door, I heard sounds. Maybe he was talking in his sleep, and I was a little worried so I hid behind the door and tried to listen. I didn’t get much, but all I heard him say is “Leave my friends and family alone” and something about the world ending and there was only him in the world.”

Koji starred at her with eyes wide open. That’s what I saw. I knew I must have seen it through another person. It’s exactly what I saw!

“I gotta go. I’ll see you.” Koji rushed outside without saying another word.

***

“Takuya, are you there?” Koji yelled through the phone.

“Yes, what’s with you at the hospital?”

“I have something to tell you.”

“Right, what is it?” Takuya asked in curiousness.

“The morning I was coming, I didn’t wake up on time. I was having that dream Kouichi had, it’s hard to believe I know it, but you gotta believe me. We were both staring out into a world that had nobody in it. It was so scary, I even remember walking past the old school and there was nothing. I visited somewhere else and vaguely remember that nobody at all was anywhere. Not on the streets, nothing. No cars…”

“Wait, wait. So Kouichi had the same dream? How do you know that?”

“I know he did. I asked mom and she told me that he was speaking in the sleep, and a few of the things he said matched exactly what I saw. There’s no mistake!”

“Then how did he suddenly become like this?” Takuya asked, still confused.

“I remember one detail, it was in 2026. I saw the newspaper!”

“Wait, that’s in the future. Could you perhaps have time traveled?” Takuya asked. Koji felt extremely heavy and did not know what to think.

“I don’t know. I can’t say, maybe.”

“Did you look at yourself?” Takuya asked.

“I don’t even do that normally! How the heck would I think to do that in a dream? Plus I don’t think it was me that was there. I was more looking at it through someone else’s eyes.” Koji exclaimed.

“Right, I was just hoping if you saw you in that time..”

“Listen, I gotta go now. I really can’t keep talking, I have to find a way to save Kouichi, since I have no idea what the hell is going on.”

Takuya agreed and hung up the phone.

“You’re all alone now! And you cannot stop my plan, I am the ultimate evil and there is nothing you can do to stop me. Don’t you just love the feeling of loneliness? And now Kouichi is dying, you’ll never get to talk to anyone because they soon will think you are mad!”

“You again! Stop and leave me alone!” Koji screamed. “I think I’m really losing my head.” Koji tried to breathe in and out.

“Oh, keep thinking that way, your mind has been lost a long time ago! You’re just a nobody that people won’t even give a minute to see.”

“You’re wrong!!!!!” Koji yelled at his own mind. Why isn’t anyone else hearing this voice?? Is it only me?

***

Kouichi wandered in the darkness. He couldn’t find anything. It was as if all his memories were gone. He couldn’t even remember where his house was.

“That’s right, your memory will fade more and more each second, until you forget who you are. Forget everybody in your life, until you’re non-existent!”

“Stop it, you can’t force me to forget!” Kouichi screamed at the empty spaces.

“Oh, but soon you won’t have a choice!”

Kouichi shut his eyes and tried to force the thoughts out. He wanted to find the hospital, his family is there. Maybe they could see him if he tried harder.

“But where is the hospital?” Kouichi wondered.

“Shouldn’t you know where it is? You’ve been there before! Only this time your life ends there!” The voice said.

Kouichi knew that he could not escape this no matter where he went. He slowly sat down and felt himself fading away.

“Please, don’t tak—take me.. yet.” His felt his presence smaller than the whispers coming from his heart. Kouichi felt too tired to fight it, he didn’t bother doing anything. What’s the point anyways? Nobody will ever see me again. I’m going to die soon.

***

The next Day

Takuya met up with Koji after school.  He looked even more pale than the previous night.

“Are you feeling alright?” Takuya was very worried.

“It’s strange, I know I feel Kouichi’s presence before, but it’s getting weaker. I think he’s starting to fade.” Koji replied. He looked like he hadn’t slept all night, with some dark circles under his eyes.

“Maybe we have to find a way, maybe we need to find this boy.” Zoe said. “Oh, Takuya caught me up!”

“I agree but how could we find him? He only exists in our dreams.” Koji replied.

“Where did you see him in your dreams?” Takuya asked.

“I saw him, I think it was… It’s all fuzzy, I always hid behind a tree.”

“What did the tree look like?” Tommy asked.

“How should I know? Oh wait, I think I remember. The tree had a shape, it was of a Digimon I think.” Koji suddenly remembered.

“This is good. We’ll just hunt down every single street in Japan until we find a tree with a Digimon.” Takuya joked.

“Not a bad idea, until you break your legs and complain to us what a bad idea that was!!” Zoe replied.

Despite all the fear and nervousness, this still made Koji laugh a little.

“Thanks guys, we can look here, maybe my sixth sense will guide me towards it.” Koji suggested. Everybody nodded.

“Maybe we should split up, we can call if we’ve found something. But first, what digimon do you think it was?” Takuya asked.

“I can’t say, but it was quite big. Like MetalGarurumon’s size.”

***

Koji wandered off to follow the direction his heart guided him. He felt that was where this boy was. He still did not know who he was or what type of power he had, what made him able to control and make people disappear.

“I’ve been expecting you, Koji!” Somebody stopped right in front of Koji.

“It’s… you!” Koji said in disbelief. He looked exactly like the boy he dreamed about each night. Every detail was exactly what he saw. The dark hair and skin, the eyes that looked like they were non-existent, the creepy voice, the face that looked so young, yet so evil. This gave him the goose bumps.

“How… did you know my name?” Koji asked.

The boy smirked. His eyes were dark and empty. His face looked like an bottomless pit. A hole of evil, but he was only a boy.

“You can’t stop me! Nobody can now! I’ve got your brother’s body and it won’t be what you’re expecting.” He said and gave an evil smirk.

Before Koji could say another word, he vanished.

“What did he mean he’s got my brother’s bod… oh no!” Koji immediately ran all the way to the hospital. He saw his mother with the most worried expression he had ever seen.

“What’s wrong?” Koji asked.

“This is still a mystery, but your brother’s body disappeared. The thing is, the doors were closed and it’s impossible to leave without being seen by at least one person. We’ve asked workers, doctors, nurses, the whole damn hospital and nobody have seen them. Not a single person.” The doctor said.

“We don’t know what happened, he was unconscious all last night, I only saw him this morning and he still wasn’t awake. And just now, he just.. just disappeared.”  Mrs Kimura cried in panic.

Koji sat down with her and placed his hand on hers.

“Please trust us, we’ll get him back, I promise.” He said with the most promising voice. Although inside, Koji was just as scared that he may never see his twin brother again.

Legend of the Dark Forces

-Flashback-

“It’s a boy, Ms, but unfortunately we have some bad news. He wasn’t born… right.” The nurse said with a sad tone.

“You mean, he’s…?” cried a woman sitting in the hospital bed.

“He’s all…burnt.” The nurse said as she carried a baby towards her. He was barely the size of a hand, and his skin  was extremely dark, it looked like they were burnt.

“I hoped I could do better…” the woman sighed.

“I’m sorry, it looks like he isn’t going to make it…”

A while later, three little girls wrapped their arms around their mother. They sat down, grief stricken.

“Mommy, why is Akio black?” A young girl, about four years old asked.

“Tori, I can’t explain it. He’s just…he’s not going to be around.”

“Is he going up there? In the sky?” Another little girl asked. They were twins.

The woman felt very dizzy, she felt pain in every part of her body. Perhaps he wasn’t the only one who was dying. She immediately sat down and hugged her girls.

“I don’t think I’ve got much time.”

“What do you mean?” Holli asked.

“Come here, quick. Please always remember that you to must get a long, if you don’t, I know something bad will happen. Please believe me, I can’t ever say this again to you, so please, no matter what anyone does to you, don’t let the prophecy become true.”

The woman whispered her last words before closing her eyes.

“Mommy!! Don’t go to sleep! Please wake up!” The girls cried, too young to truly understand what was happening.

The nurse watched in tears, as she pulled the girls away.

She checked the woman to see if she had anything, perhaps an address book so she could phone the girl’s relatives.

As the nurse searched, she slowly noticing the woman turning darker. Her skin began to peal. The nurse had to get the girls outside before they see this terrible sight. She did a final search and found three golden bracelets. They each had a message.

“Akio, Holli and Tori”. The names were imprinted.

However, there was something else. Inside the bracelets, there were small imprinted text. She could not read what they were, but figured they may be presents for her children.

The kept those safe and led the girls outside. What was she going to do? Where could these girls go?

“Maybe you could call grandma? She said to call her if anything went wrong.” Holli said. She was only four, but she sure knew what she was talking about.

“Do you have your Grandmother’s phone number?”

Holli nodded and gave the number.

Minutes later, the girls’ grandmother arrived. She did not look surprised at all, only sad.

“Akio didn’t make it either. He’s about to…”

“You did your best. Thank you for looking after Holli and Tori.” Their grandmother said.

“I’m so sorry, I don’t understand how this all happened, your daughter was fine, and then.. she just…” The nurse stammered.

“It was coming, I knew it.”

She brought the girls home and sat them down.

“I’m very sorry, but your mom isn’t coming back.”

“Why? Isn’t she just sleeping?” Holli asked.

“She left. She really had no choice.” Holli and Tori’s grandmother sighed. It was as if she was hiding these secrets all these years, and never told anybody.

-End Flashback-

Holli and Tori were seven years old. They were playing outside while their grandmother, Moriko sat inside. Thinking, contemplating. Only she understood the messages in the bracelet, each carried one third of the message.

Prophecy of SilverDramon: If her three children ever bonded as one, all evil will be purified and eliminated. If unsuccessful, all will be destroyed.

Moriko thought about this message so many times, to bring together the puzzles that did not make sense to her. She did not want to think too much, as it always hurts her head. Sometimes, not everything can be understood.

“Grandma! Come and watch, look, we can make flowers grow faster!” Holli danced in the grass as she waved for her grandmother to come out.

“Our garden is so pretty!” Tori replied.

Moriko watched as the two children waved at the flower bud, shooting out a purple dust. This made the tiny bud immediately blossom into a beautiful flower.

“They’re just natural. But unfortunately Akio never made it. He would’ve been happy with them.” Moriko sighed.

“Girls, can you come inside for a minute? I have something for you!” Moriko said.

“What is it?”

“Here, I want you to wear this. I know your mother would want you to keep it with you all times.”

“Are you sure? It’s mom’s treasure. We’ll lose it or something!” Tori looked a little unsure.

“It’s okay. Here!” Moriko put those bracelets on Holli and Tori. “Please don’t take it off no matter where you go, Your mother left her most important message in there.”

Holli and Tori looked a little confused.

“Go back and play now!”

They hurried out and Moriko stood up to cook dinner. She still wanted to know so many answers. Could it be possible? That her daughter was really a Digimon? But if she was, how did she come down to earth? Could it be that someone cursed her third child and herself? Could it be that evil forces were behind her death?

Moriko only heard about Digimon on television. It was a few years ago, but she regretted not ever meeting up with the Digidestined that went to the other world. She wanted to ask whether prophecies were true, and was there a Digimon named SilverDramon.

“I’m going down the shops to buy some vegetables! Holli and Tori, please make sure you don’t fight!” Moriko said with a firm voice before leaving.

“We won’t!” Replied Holli.

“What she said!” Answered Tori.

Moriko was afraid of the message in the bracelet. It was clear, if there is conflict between the girls, something terrible would happen.

***

As Moriko walked towards the convenient store close by, she suddenly felt intrigued by the large tree before her. It looked a lot like some shape, rather than a tree.

“What, don’t you recognize me, Grandma?” The voice hissed behind her.

Moriko turned around and saw a young boy no more than age seven staring at her. His skin was dark,  almost black. They looked like they were burnt. Could that be? Could it be possible?

“Akio?”

“Now don’t disgust me with that! Such a pathetic name! I want you gone, so you’re not in my way.” He snickered. His eyes glowed a dark red, and just when Akio was going to raise his hands, someone rushed from behind and pushed Moriko out of the way and disappeared.

“You’re only alive because I’m too nice! But that’s not going to last long!” Akio deliberately did not chase them. He knew what they were going to do. He had other plans.

***

Moriko saw the face of who saved her. “You’re that Digidestined we saw on TV some  years ago!”

“You’ve got to be more careful!” Koji warned. “He is serious danger!”

Moriko’s face almost lit up like a candle. “You’re just the person I wanted to see!”

Koji looked very confused.

“Please come to my house. I’ll explain everything! If you have your dig-friends, please tell them to come them too!”

Koji wasn’t sure what this was about, but he was curious. He quickly sent everyone a message to be at Moriko’s house.

About half an hour later, Takuya, Zoe, JP and Tommy all showed up. JP of course had his chocolate bars.

“I’ve gathered you here because I need to know about Digimon. I think my daughter was one, or she wasn’t really a human.” Moriko explained.

“What do you mean?” Zoe asked.

“Let me explain. Years back when my daughter was young, I always thought she was an odd child, you know. She knew things that I couldn’t even explain, like good and bad. She always knew something about one day the world is going to either be destroyed or saved. I just thought she watched too much television. A few years ago, I saw her carving something into three golden bracelets, I thought perhaps she wanted to make something nice for her children. This is when it got a bit scary. Three years ago, before she gave birth to her third child, she said to me this was the end. She said she felt bad things will happen.”

“What happened after?” Koji was becoming more and more curious.

“I sent her to the hospital and she never came back. I have this!” Moriko said as she showed the Digidestined the third bracelet that was suppose to belong to Akio.

“This is for the boy who tried to kill me before. I believe he’s the son that never made it according to the doctors. I never knew what happened, how he came back. I can feel that he’s full of evil.”

“About your daughter, was there..” Takuya asked.

“I believe she was the Digimon, we call the East Guardian of the Silver Oceans. I found this somewhere.” Moriko showed her a piece of paper.

SilverDramon: Guardian of the Silver Oceans
A Digimon with immense powers that could affect the Digital World. A prophecy that followed her was that she could bring peace to the Digital world if three of her type formed a bond and joined to one. They would have the power to purify all evil, eliminating evil data before they are formed into a being. However, myths say that many evil digimon had formed ways to stop this from happening. Some say she was turned into a human and being put a curse upon. There is another myth that she has the power to give twins who have a certain bond and connection the power to events inside their dreams, even enabling them to travel through time. She has the power to create a rainbow which gives them a portal to another dimension or world.

“I think I have some answers now!” Koji screamed and nearly gave everyone a fright. “I think it was SilverDramon that gave Kouichi and I the power to dream but see things as real, perhaps the events that were coming up. And I believe she also helped us travel time in the last dream.”

“But that still does not explain where Kouichi is now.” JP said.

“He’s in hospital, almost dead!” Koji said in frustration. “If I could only figure out what’s the connection between these dreams and his situation now, maybe I can find a way to save him.”

“Don’t you mean ‘we’?” Takuya added.

“Sure.” Koji smiled a little. “But that confirms that SilverDramon may not be dead, at least one small part of her is still alive, or else we wouldn’t have been able to dream.”

“She may be trapped, or very weak, but I wouldn’t hope for too much, she may only have the strength to tell you what to do..” Moriko answered.

“Are you positive about this?” Tommy asked. “I think it’s going to be hard to find her though.”

“Well, even if she’s not exactly my daughter, but I still connect with her. I mean, I really feel that she has something left to say, but that’s all she has strength for.” Moriko answered. “She won’t be able to finish what she was born to do. To bring peace, and there’s nobody to guide these girls, they could be influenced so easily and turn again each other…”

Koji looked at Moriko’s sad expressions.

“I don’t have answers now too, but we can try. And maybe we will find the solution if we try hard enough.”

Takuya looked extremely determined after hearing this. “Guys, it’s just like back when we were in the Digital World, no giving up until we save it.”

Everybody raised their hands. “We won’t!”

“We have to find Kouichi, before he only has enough strength to tell us something!” Koji gave a nervous look.
