Digimon Adventure
The first episode, the very beginning of an unforgettable series which will change our lives forever. This season is everything that I would hope and dream for a first season of such an amazing show. It was amusing, entertaining, fun, serious at times, great storyline, plot and characters were developed so well that each had some history and story. There is really not another better way to put it! Without this season, there would be no second season, or third or fourth, and not the fifth. This is how Digimon began, and we should all be proud of it.
The characters are very deep, it really isn?t anything seen before. It was amazing that they try their best to protect a world unknown to theirs. The wonderful arcs, where they slowly learned more and more about each other, about their own strengths and weaknesses, ultimately being able to bring together their qualities to defeat anything standing in their way.
The plot is very easily hooked on. It?s engaging and always a surprise. It is such a incredible experience to see the characters grow and learn. To see their realisation of past mistakes, or want to do their best. It?s great to see Sora realising that her mum loved her all this time, that Matt did not have to keep everything to himself. It was great to see Gatomon realising she did not have to work for evil. Season one is simply amazing.
Zero Two
What a brilliant idea to bring back the old characters and introduce a few new ones? It?s wonderful to see that change, but also keeping some things from the past season. The interesting thing is seeing how the new characters are influenced by the old ones, gradually becoming brilliant team members who are willing to try anything.
We could really see at first the new characters didn?t want to fight, but they still did for the sake of defending their world, as well as saving their friend.
The most appealing thing, the pearl of this series was an unforgettable message called ?forgiveness?. This was the most special and unique thing about this series. The story of Ken is the best example, he didn?t treat Digimon well at the start, but he realised his mistakes, and the group forgave him. It took some time, but they really have just went such a long way, to be inseparable and extremely close friends.
Zero Two also has such a wonderful message, that nobody should be punished for a mistake made in the past if that person realises what they have done and tries to change for the better. If Digimon did not demonstrate that, then Ken would not have been able to be freed from his past. That is the very amazing thing about Digimon.
Digimon Tamers
This is such a powerful and spectacular season, where the story has completely changed from the previous seasons, yet the true values, friendship and hope has not. This season has a darker storyline, as well as more complexity and absolutely amazing characters.
This series began as three kids who played with the Digimon card games somehow got their game turned into a real Digivice, and their Digimon coming to life.
Tamers really showed about so many wisdom thoughts, wonderful lessons that I would never forget. Firstly, Henry?s opinions on fighting, and what he said about ?fighting for a purpose is different than just fighting to fight? is one that has engraved into my mind. How character could change from wanting to fight their Digimon just for the sake of it, to knowing it isn?t what they wanted, but they must do that to save the world. A true friend is also a part of you. How destiny can be changed, but the past cannot. That goodbye isn?t forever, and Jeri?s realisation that it was wrong to think that feeling nothing was better than feeling sad.
Tamers is unique in it?s brilliant way. The fate of Leomon was something that we really could learn from, that everyone has a destiny, and it?s what you make out of it. It really showed that three strong minded kids could come together and form a strength which nothing could break, and that is enough to change the world.
Digimon Frontier
This series demonstrated friendship and true values such as work as a team and never giving up. This is such a unique season of Digimon, and simply too great to be true! I value that these kids choose their own destiny and did not want to leave that world which they considered theirs, and would do anything including risk themselves to save it.
There are such a set of strong determination and hope in Frontier, something that really got to me. Just the way they went from not having a purpose in the digital world, to being very wise, thoughtful and strong minded.
The amazing idea of humans turning into Digimon. It just really showed something totally different in the best possible way. That they worked together so much more, they had to make a lot of decisions, as well as them realising that the Digital World is a part of their life too.
I really love that Takuya kept the team going, yet you also saw that even he has a vulnerable side that wishes to give up, yet only a reminder and encouragement would bring him back. The story of Kouji and Kouichi were simply so well made, that it truly stands out. The pain of Kouichi was so real, it?s hard not to feel it, seeing how Kouji came out of his world of pain and afraid to get to close to people, to being very open and happy. To see Zoe and JP realise they are capable of making friends, and Tommy who is afraid of everything to a brave warrior.
Frontier showed so much development and qualities. I believe Frontier is special in that way and makes it so interesting, wonderful and simply amazing.
