The Interesting parallels

Digimon S1: A modern Narnia
I’ve noticed that Digimon Adventure has a lot in common with the book series “The Chronicles of Narnia”, written by C. S. Lewis. Yeah, I know it sounds crazy, but think about it.
Time which moves differently to human world’s, children who travel from one world to another in order to save it, mythical and talking beasts… Another similarity is that in both stories there are some characters that go together and appear in more volumes than the other characters. Of course, I mean Edmund and Lucy from Narnia and TK and Kari from Digimon Adventure.
Those similarities are probably the reason I like Digimon. Narnia was the first non-school book I read of my own free will.
When I first watched Digimon I was a lot prejudiced that it wouldn’t be good; with a second look, though, I realized that it’s wonderful and that it is a lot like my favorite Narnia Chronicles. Now I think that Digimon is the best cartoon series I’ve ever seen!
Digimon S2: Another Neverending story
Do you remember Episode 33 from season 2, when Izzy mentioned that the kids could affect on DigiWorld through their sub-conscious minds? Do you also remember the last episode, when Yolei said that DigiWorld is a mix of digital data and people’s dreams?
According to these, I think that Digimon S2 is a bit like Michael Ende’s “Neverending Story”, because Fantasia, the parallel world in “Neverending Story” is a world made of people’s wishes.
Moreover, in both stories, there is a character (actually, in the “Neverending Story it’s Bastian, the main character, whereas Ken is one of the main characters) who manages to affect on the non-human world through wishes and then tries to rule over it. In addition, both Ken and Bastian nearly lose something important: Bastian almost loses his memories (because for every wish carried out he loses a memory); Ken nearly loses his identity under the control of the Dark Spore.
Another thing is that when they realize their mistakes they realize how much they love their parents (well, Bastian realizes how much he loves his father; his mother had died before the story took place).
