Digimon Tamers
Takato Matsuki

Digimon Partner: Guilmon
Age: 10
Takato is an only child. He comes from a family who runs their very own bakery. Takato is extremely imaginative and loves to be creative, so he likes drawing. One day he draws Guilmon on a notepad and his recently acquired D-Power scans the drawings to create his new partner, donning yellow goggles to show his Digimon Tamer status. At first he's not very good at battling (an example is the battle between Guilmon and Devidramon he was using cards that made things worse and the only reason that they won was his caring about Guilmon caused him to digivolve into Growlmon) but as time goes on he gets better at it (an example of this is the fight with IceDevimon an enemy even Kyubimon couldn't destroy but he'd gotten good enough at battling that he used the perfect combo on Guilmon that he was able to destroy IceDevimon easily without even digivolving to Growlmon). He seems to have a deep bond with Guilmon and when Guilmon was mortally wounded by the tiger Deva Mihiramon, he had some kind of dream where he and Guilmon (as Growlmon) talked where he said that he wasn't worthy to be a Tamer but if Growlmon still wanted to fight he'd help. This caused him to get a Blue Card and Growlmon digivolved to WarGrowlmon thanks to it and destroyed his foe. WarGrowlmon told him that he was worthy and thanked him for fighting with him. During the fight with Vikarlamon when everyone else had given up he stepped up and through his bond with WarGrowlmon shared his own energy and strength with him. Takato and WarGrowlmon's combined strength freed WarGrowlmon and destroyed Vikarlamon who before was too powerful to be beaten.
The death of Leomon in episode 34 unbalances Takato's mind and in his blood-lust for Beelzemon, he forces WarGrowlmon to Digivolve to the Mega level. However, his dark emotions got the best of him, and twisted the evolution and WarGrowlmon darkdigivolved into Megidramon, as well as causing his Digivice to overload and shatter. In the following episode, realizing what he had done and what his partner meant to him, Takato reached the Guilmon inside Megidramon and caused him to revert back to Guilmon. He wanted to help Guilmon fight Beelzemon so badly at that point that they digivolved together (called Biomerging) to form Gallantmon and defeated Beelzemon. Takato received a new Digivice (with gold-colored accents) as a result.
Takato's imagination often gets the best of him, and he can occasionally let his feelings or his imagination cloud his judgment. He tends to act goofy, carefree and childish, but is capable of donning a more adult image when circumstances become serious.
Henry Wong

Digimon Partner: Terriermon
Age: 10
Henry becomes a Digimon tamer after Terriermon passes out of the computer game and into his arms. After Henry realizes he has hurt many Digimon through the game, he promised Terriermon that he would never make him battle again. Henry is often reluctant to battle and refuses to allow Terriermon to absorb a Digimon's data.
However, after many situations where Terriermon is forced to digivolve and fight, Henry realizes there are many battles worth fighting.
Rika Nonaka

Digimon Partner: Renamon
Age: 10
Rika, in the beginning of the series, sees Digimon as nothing more than mere computer data built for fighting, wanting her partner, Renamon, to be the strongest Digimon in the world. She attempts to strengthen Renamon by battling any bioemerging Digimon and having Renamon download their data after defeating them, but is frustrated at Renamon's lack of control over Digivolution. Eventually she realizes that the two must be on equal partnership and friendship.
Jeri Katou

Digimon Partner: Leomon
Age: 10
At first, Jeri is not very important to the series. She just plays as a school girl Takato has a crush on and won't become a Digimon tamer until later on. It might be said that she is a sort of perfect child, because of her cheerful and happy personality. However, there was a scene when she had claimed she was not interested in Digimon, but had cards dropping out of her pocket when she fell. She was known for her dog-shaped sock puppet from her brother, which she uses to strike-up conversations.. She eventually becomes Leomon's partner before she and the other Tamers (including Kazu and Kenta) headed out into the Digital World in search of Calumon.but unfortunately her career is cut short when Beelzemon destroys Leomon and uploads his data.It is later discovered that this was not Jeri rather it was the D-Reaper's Agent 1, by discovering its "wings", who assumed Jeri's form to learn all she could about the Tamers. The real Jeri had been taken away and placed in a space within the D-Reaper. The Agent 1 said that Jeri was the perfect being for the D-Reaper as it used her sadness to strengthen itself. D-Reaper was able to feed off her negative emotions, but gradually, thanks to Calumon she decided to speak up and reject the idea of real death. She spoke what Leomon had spoke (while he was destined to die, she still had a lot to live for, and so did the others) and was rescued by the other tamers. While she was still in the D-reaper, it is discovered that she cared a lot for Takato, for she said "I don't want anyone to be hurt, especially not Takato." And when Takato went into the D-Reaper, he found that Jeri was unconscious, he woke her up and Jeri hugged him.
By the end of the series, Jeri snaps out her depression, thanks to Takato and Calumon, and realizes that humans can make their own destiny and that she was never meant to be alone.
Kazu Shioda

Digimon Partner: Guardromon
Age: 10
Kazu proved how good a friend he was by giving Takato a Blue Card he made himself. He said that since Guilmon came from a drawing, so it should work. The card worked and it proved to be the one that saved the day. Secretly, Kazu wanted to be a Tamer himself and be just as good as Takato and the others. His chance came when he went to the Digital World, although he and Kenta did seem out of place as the others had Partners, he made the best of it until he did finally get a partner of his own in the name of Guardromon.
Kenta Kitagawa

Digimon Partner: MarineAngemon
Age: 10
Kenta decided to go to the Digital World with the rest of the Tamers. Kenta was kind of jealous and upset that everyone had a Partner but him, which led him to pretend that he and Guilmon were Partners (temporarily), when he, Guilmon, and a few of the others became separated from Takato, Guilmon's rightful Partner.
As they left to return home, MarineAngemon falls from the sky, after Calumon evolves most of the Digital World's Digimon into their Mega form, and goes off again after Kenta shoos him off although the little Mega apparently grows very attached to him during this meeting. However, some time later, he appears inside Kenta's back pocket, together with a Digivice. This made Kenta the only Tamer to have a Mega Digimon for a partner. Kenta understands what MarineAngemon is saying, even though it says only a few words. Kazu points that out and is amazed by it.
Suzie Wong

Digimon Partner: Lopmon
Age: 7
Suzie is the youngest of four children in her family. She has two older brothers, Henry and Rinchei, and an older sister, Jaarin. Her father is Janyu Wong (Li Jiangyu), one of the original creators of Digimon. Like Henry, she is half-Chinese on her father's side and half-Japanese on her mother's side.
Upon her introduction, she is seen only as Henry's younger sister and loves to play with Henry's "Terriermon" toy, often dressing him up in girls' dolls' clothes and calling him "Pwincess Pwetty Pants". Because she does not understand that "stuffed toys" do not normally talk, she is completely unfazed when Henry and Terriermon reveal Terriermon is alive. She initially remains in the real world while Henry goes off with the Tamers to the Digital World to save Calumon. She also come to the Digital World to find Terriermon|Tewwiewmon and got her first Digimon Antylamon, who turns into Lopmon.
Ai and Mako

Digimon Partner: Impmon
Age: 4
In Digimon Tamers, Ai and Mako (Makoto in the original Japanese version) are the sibling pair who were destined to be the Tamers of the rogue Digimon Impmon. Having no one to properly teach them on the duties and behavior of being Tamers, they originally treated him as an object to argue over. The discouraged Impmon fled his toddler trainers and went off to become involved with the other adventures of the series.
Much later in the series, Impmon returned to find Ai and Mako deeply ashamed at how they had acted and missing him terribly, they begged the Digimon for his forgiveness. Impmon accepted and they became a family once again. When Beelzemon had to take up arms against the threat of the D-Reaper, Mako provided him with a toy gun, which Beelzemon morphed into a very real and very powerful energy rifle, and Ai provided a kiss to the taken-back Digimon for good luck. With that he raced off to play a major role in the last few episodes of the series, fighting off the D-Reaper and attempting to save Jeri Katou. By the end of the series they have officially become his Tamers having been granted a D-Power by a DigiGnome.
